Electrician in Clermont
Clermont is remodel country. A lot of the housing stock is old enough to need work and good enough to be worth doing it to, which is most of what we are called out for in Lake County.
The older parts of Clermont, particularly around downtown and the Lake Minneola shoreline, run from mid-century through the 1980s. That covers the period when aluminum branch wiring was common in residential work, so it is something we check for before quoting a remodel — it changes the terminations, the devices and the price.
The newer subdivisions west and south of town are a different job entirely. Sound modern wiring, but built to a spec that assumed less load than a household now runs, so panel capacity and dedicated circuits come up constantly during kitchen and garage projects.
Outside the city, plenty of properties are on well and septic. That means pump circuits, irrigation controllers and outbuildings on their own feeds, none of which exist in a city-services subdivision — and all of which need to be found before a remodel scope is priced.
Most of our Lake County work has been remodels, in Clermont and the surrounding area.
Inside the city limits, permits go through City of Clermont Building Services. Much of the surrounding area is unincorporated, where Lake County Building Services issues instead — worth establishing before the job starts.
